Assignment 2

Throughout the story of Frankenstein written by Mary Shelley, its created a tragedy and tone of guilt. Base on William's demise, Victor comes to realize that everything is his fault. Noticing that the purpose of his brother's death, was his creation of the creature or perhaps the monster. This helps him to illuminate that the meaning of his work was no good. Which it could bring danger not only to him, but to other people in the world.
Victor studied and worked so hard to learn about, philosophy and the human anatomy. He was so fascinated with this world that he came with the idea of inventimg a creature, which later on it would lead  to William's death. Unfortunately, Victor knew about this horrible outcome base on a letter that Elizabeth send him,"William is dead! That sweet child, whose smiles delighted and warm my heart..."(56). This helps to illuminate the meaning of Victor's worked, by showing how his creation result to be big tragedy. Making him realize that the monster should be killed. In order for no more accidents to happen to innocent people. He didn't want for other people to get hurt or loose a relative like he did. He wanted to do everything by himself without any one knowing about his secret. But one day that he was in the mountains he came to face the beast. He came to describe to Victor what his life was like; not knowing how to survive in the human environment. "Food, however, became scarce, and I often spent the whole day searching in vain for a few acorns..."(89). If William had never died, maybe Victor wouldn't have come to the conclusion that his monster was the reason of William's death. The monster doesn't really knows what he is doing, he is confuse about the world in which he is living; not having idea how to survive. In the other hand, when the monster reveals his wonders and questions to Victor. He comes to tell him the reason he killed William saying, "-I felt the spot where I had comitted the murder, and seeking a more secluded hiding- place..."(128). The monster explains how and why he killed William. For the simple fact, that he wanted to take revenge on Victor. After the monster had read a note of Victor, base on his creation- making the creature feel mad. This shows how the meaning of Victor's work was meant for it to be a ruin and disgraceful tragedy. Leading him to make some changes and solve this problem, before it would get any worse. He felt guilty not only for William'a death, but also for Justine execution. After being accused of William's murder, throughout these series of unfortunately events. Victor knew that his work as a whole was like cursed, he never thought this would bring such a pain. It is said that all inventor destroys its own creation.
